Enter for a chance to race a Tesla Semi

What is the Tesla Semi?

The Tesla Semi is an all-electric, battery-powered Class 8 semi-trailer truck.  Tesla unveiled two working prototypes in November 2017.  They plan on starting production in 2019.  With this truck, Tesla hopes to convince shipping companies to convert to a more-efficient and environmentally friendly way to transport goods across the country.

Why would I want to race one?

The Tesla Semi is powered by four motors taken from a Model 3 car.  That gives it great power, including an incredible amount of torque when starting from a standstill.  With no trailer, it will accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in about 5 seconds.  That's faster than a base Ford Mustang, Chevrolet Camaro, or Dodge Challenger.  It's a full-size, load-rated truck that can run with sports cars.

And it's incredibly easy to drive.  No special training is required.  The electric drivetrain means that no transmission is required.  No shifting is involved.  Driving one is just as easy as driving a minivan.  You just need to know how to work a steering wheel, brake pedal, and accelerator.

The heaviest part of the vehicle - the batteries - are all contained down low.  This gives the truck an incredibly low center of gravity - much lower than the height of the cab would leave you to believe.  So it will actually corner like a sports car.  Flipping it will be almost impossible.

How can I win a chance to race one of these?

Tesla holds a drawing - one drawing every week.  Each week's winner will be invited to race a Tesla Semi around Tesla's test track.  In order to enter, you just need to sign up for the Tesla newsletter by submitting your email address to them.  Use the link below:

The above is my referral link.  When you enter, we both get an opportunity to win.  So if we win - thank you in advance!  It's an exciting opportunity to do something unique.
